Download Sumac (All Platforms)
1. Download the installer that corresponds to your operating system:
Click Save File if you are prompted with a dialog asking how to proceed.
2. Locate the downloaded file. In different browsers it may appear differently:

Install Sumac on Windows
1. Double click SumacInstaller_win_20240111.exe found in your downloads folder.
You may get a warning on your computer asking to verify that you would like to allow this app to make changes on your device. Confirm that the Verified Publisher is Societ, Inc., then click Yes
2. Follow the steps on the Sumac Setup Installer.
Install Sumac on macOS
1. Double click SumacInstaller_mac_20260521.exe found in your downloads folder.
Note: If you see a warning saying “Sumac.dmg can’t be opened because it was not downloaded from the App Store,” press OK to dismiss the message, then click the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen and select “System Settings.”
In System Settings, scroll down the left sidebar and click “Privacy & Security.” In the Privacy & Security menu, scroll down to the Security section. Next to the “Sumac was blocked to protect your Mac” message, click “Open Anyway.”
You will only need to do this the first time you run Sumac
3. Open the Applications folder and locate Sumac. Double-click the Sumac icon to run Sumac and log in!
Note: If you see a message that says “Sumac can’t be opened because it was not downloaded from the App Store,” follow the recommendations in step 1 to correct your Privacy and Security settings.
Now that you have Sumac up and running, right-click the Sumac icon in your dock, and select Options > Keep in Dock so it is easy to find every time you log in.
